On Friday, Henry had his very first visit to our hydrotherapy pool. He came along with his mum Steph and his grandparents — a special family day out after making the 45-minute journey from their home to reach us.
For Henry, accessibility is everything. He requires hoisting into the pool, and at last, his family have found somewhere that can truly meet his needs. It was wonderful to see Henry splashing, smiling, and enjoying the water in a safe, supportive environment
Our Assisted Changing Rooms
To make visits like Henry’s possible, we’ve designed fully accessible assisted changing facilities:
- Changing beds so people can be comfortably transferred from their wheelchair, changed, and then hoisted into the pool.
- Hoists directly into the hydrotherapy pool and back again.
- Private, screened areas for dignity and comfort.
- Individual showers for each bed, so families can take their time and feel at ease.
Every detail is there to make visits smooth, stress-free, and inclusive — because everyone deserves the chance to enjoy the water
