OUR AIM is to provide a visionary and unique centre to enable pupils of The Milestone School, and SAND Academy, along with children, young people and adults throughout Gloucestershire, to overcome disability.
OUR VISION is to enhance the wellbeing of those with disability - how they feel, how they function on a personal and social level, and how they feel about their lives as a whole.
Our facilities are available to The Milestone School and SAND Academy pupils together with children and adults with disabilities throughout Gloucestershire.
Families are also welcome to use our facilities, where they can enjoy various activities with their able bodied and disabled children in the hydrotherapy pool, soft-play and discovery areas.
We work closely with clinicians, care professionals, the NHS and local authorities to offer our facilities to the wider community.
We have a dedicated fundraising section on our website, where you will find details of how you can help and support us. This ensures that we can continue to offer all our services to those who need them and to introduce new and exciting activities in the future.learn more
We offer a range of voluntary and work experience opportunities. These positions are fully inclusive and can be adapted to suit all levels of ability and experience.
The Chamwell Centre was realised thanks to the vision and considerable dedication of our trustees, but also thanks to the incredible generosity of grant givers and donors.
The Chamwell Centre was built entirely by charitable funding and will rely on the continuing generosity of the public, businesses and charitable trusts to continue its work and to ensure that children and adults in Gloucestershire can enjoy its facilities.
Julie (who works at The Chamwell Centre) and her husband Anton have just returned home after racing in the Adventure Racing World Championships in from Galicia, Spain. We are delighted that they managed to raise over £600 for Chamwell.Learn more
