Next session is on Saturday 11h June 2022. We will join our friends at Soundabout via zoom on the big screen in the Levinge Suite upstairs at Chamwell. We have musical instruments, enthusiasm and a huge screen. You don't need to be able to sing in tune or play a musical instrument - just have fun. On alternate Saturday afternoons the Chamwell Centre and national music education charity Soundabout host a new inclusive choir for children and young people of all abilities across Gloucestershire focused on ensuring young people with severe and profound learning disabilities are able to share their voice.
The aim of the Gloucestershire Inclusive Choir is to create a ‘musical community without barriers’ and is open to young people of all abilities up to the age of 25. The choir will meet and sing together every two weeks. Rehearsals will alternate between virtual sessions via the Zoom online video-conferencing platform and hybrid sessions, where choir members have the choice to join virtually on Zoom or face-to-face at the Chamwell Centre – a fully inclusive and accessible community centre in Gloucester.
The choir is free to attend and has been made possible thanks to funding from the MariaMarina Foundation.
If you’re wondering whether the choir is for you – perhaps this link will help you decide. Enjoy! 😊 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFyvbK5Xae4
